DISHA is addressing the aspect
of significantly improving quality of student learning in four municipal
schools in west Delhi. The initiatives is to mainly focus on government
school improvements by capacity building of teachers, school curriculum
interventions and providing support for educational reform as per the
goals of SSA. This will lead to improved teacher's performance; curriculum
related material development designed to develop human resource among
teachers and significant improvement in learning by students.
DISHA is working in four municipal corporation primary schools with 1580 children studying in class I-III. Majority of these children live in low income settlements and slum clusters of Mayapuri, Nangal Raya and Naraina Industrial area.
